ImmuneHealth-4-All awarded €6.6 million to accelerate disease-overarching innovation in immune diseases

The ImmuneHealth-4-All programme has been awarded €6.6 million in funding through the Health~Holland PPS programme to stimulate public-private partnerships. The programme stems from ImmuneHealthXL (IHXL), a national initiative promoting disease-overarching immunological research in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs).

More than one million people in the Netherlands live with one or more IMIDs, such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis. Although these conditions are traditionally studied and treated separately, they share underlying immune mechanisms. By focusing on these shared pathways, the programme enables more efficient development of diagnostics, monitoring tools and immune-modulating therapies that can be applied across multiple diseases.

The ImmuneHealth-4-All programme brings together academic medical centres, health foundations, patient organisations and industry partners in multidisciplinary collaborations. The Health~Holland funding enables ImmuneHealth-4-All to fund and support a series of collaborative public–private projects.

These projects focus specifically on applied and translational research, building on results from earlier public–private collaborations. Their aim is to deliver solutions that benefit people living with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and can be applied effectively across different IMIDs

By strengthening collaboration across disease boundaries and areas of expertise, ImmuneHealth-4-All contributes to more sustainable healthcare solutions and improved prospects for people living with chronic immune-mediated diseases.
